With Knock on the booth will be out soon, director M. Night Shyamalan he’s excited for people to see it in theaters on a big screen. That’s how I enjoy watching my movies and so do many other people. I have seen many reports on the death of cinema and although I have had a difficult time, I have never seen cinemas disappear. There will always be people who will seek out that magical cinematic experience.

Shyamalan is a believer in the cinematic viewing experience, and he insists on it Knock on the booth it is a film best enjoyed in the company of fellow film fans. During a recent interview with SFX Magazine / GamesRadar he shared his optimism for the future saying:

“Let me be super clear, audiences are dying to come to theaters to see great movies. That’s all there is to it. If I released Home Alone today, it would still be a massive hit. gigantic. And I think the industry is starting to realize that, after being sidetracked by streamers and the pandemic. There’s nothing like it: a group of 500 strangers getting together to watch a story together, never to do more things at once and engage. It’s just a deeper experience.”

I agree 100%! There’s just nothing like watching movies in a movie theater! I have been enjoying that experience since I was a child and will never miss it. Ben Aldridgewhich reads in Knock on the boothhe went on to talk about the film and what makes it such a great cinematic experience saying:

“This is a hugely thought-provoking popcorn movie, and I don’t think you get many of them. When I saw it I thought it was a blockbuster, but it also asks deep and terrifying questions about truth versus belief. Does believing in something make it real? It’s about the state of world politics, and the far right and conspiracy groups, and the fact that none of us believe the same things. I think it plays into all of those things.”

Shyamalan concludes by saying, “I want you to watch Knock on the booth on a treadmill with your iPad? No I do not know”.

In the film, “While vacationing in a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand the family make an unthinkable choice to avoid the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what to believe before all is lost.”

As you’ll see in the trailer, it appears these armed strangers are telling the truth.
