The second adaptation of Nekojiru Udon’s work, in which he is one of the scariest anime it’s disturbing. As preposterous as it sounds, the story follows a little cat who travels the world holding hands with her nearly-dead sister to help her find half of her soul that was ripped from her. With an action and fantasy component, “Gantz:O” is still a sci-fi horror anime. The story follows a group of deceased people brought back to life by a black orb. And in their second chance, they have to kill scary aliens with the help of special weapons and suits. Available on Netflix.

The Empire of Corpses

Directed by Ryotaro Makihara, we have ‘Empire of Corpses’, a fantasy horror film set in 19th century Europe. The plot follows John Watson, a secret agent discovered by the government, to investigate hundreds of human corpses that are reused as workers to improve industrial development. Available on Crunchyroll.

Perfect blue

We finally have one of the most recognized anime horror and suspense films in history. This is ‘Perfect Blue’, a psychological thriller by teacher Satoshi Kon which tells the story of a young pop star, who wants to be an actress, however, her child icon image of her follows wherever she goes . Available on Netflix in select territories.
