TED LASSO Season 3 First Look & Co-Creators Say Season 3 Is ‘Fucking Great’ & They ‘Love It’

Fans have been waiting a year and a half just to hear the news of the third season of Apple’s hit series Ted Lasso. Season 2 and the upcoming season were announced in the fall of 2020, after the first season premiered and the streamer knew it was going to be a hit. According to the co-creator of the show Bill Lorenzowriter and protagonist of the series Brett Goldstein, the new episodes are just as great as the first two batches. The pair were at the Winter 2023 TCA panel for Ted Lasso Season 3, and Bill Lawrence told reporters about the Season 3 footage he saw, calling it “fucking awesome,” with Goldstein adding, “I love it.”

Lawrence also credited his co-creator, series star/producer/writer Jason Sudeikiswith success this season, stating:

“Jason Sudeikis has escaped Ted Lasso this year and crushed it. Brett had to stay there and act and be a writer on that show. I got to — because that production was underway, thanks to all the support from Apple — to come here and go back to my family and home and make Narrowing.”

Lawrence and Goldstein are working together on a new Apple TV+ series titled Narrowing, which required a lot of time and attention from Lawrence. Jason Sudeikis has slipped into the position of showrunner for Ted Lasso Season 3, which proved to be more complicated amid the show’s future uncertainty, Covid protocols, rewrites, and personal issues Sudeikis was going through.

I have every confidence that despite these issues, we will still get a stellar third season. Ted Lasso it’s top notch TV and I hope the show continues after season 3.

Ted Lasso will premiere on Apple TV+ this spring! Catch up on Seasons 1 and 2 while you wait.
