2022 has been a big year for My Goth with his horror films x And Pearl. These were great horror movies, and she especially gave a fantastic and quite creepy performance as Pearl. These are the first two films of a trilogy developed by the director Ti West and gothic.
The upcoming third film in the series is MaXXXine, and that film will be set in 1980s Los Angeles. Goth will reprise her role as the sole survivor of the “Farmer’s Daughter” in X. The story follows Maxine, “after the events of x, as the sole survivor who continues her journey to fame with the intention of making it as an actress. I’m sure it will be just as wild a viewing experience as the first two films.
During a recent interview with Empire, Goth gushed MaXXXine, saying, “It’s my favorite script of the three. Everything is bigger. The world is bigger, the stakes are bigger. It will provide the greatest cinematic experience of all three.”
West offered an update on the film saying, “The script is done. I wrote this individually. Self x is a movie where they try to make indie porn, what if Pearl it’s about his desire to be a part of the “movie business”, however difficult that may be, then MaXXXine it’s certainly a different perspective on it. The straight-to-video world plays a role.”
I’m curious to see how the next film in the trilogy will turn out. One thing is for sure, it will provide fascinating and disturbing entertainment.
