Scandi streamer Viaplay has invaded Canada after signing a deal with Bell Media to appear on Bell’s SVoD Crave. Starting today, branded content offered by Viaplay Select will include several scripted series and young adult programming on Crave before Canada becomes Viaplay’s 19th DTC launch territory later this quarter. Viaplay is already present in the main European territories and is distributed by Roku in the US. Rose Bruford College in South London opens the XR Internship
South London Performance and Production College Rose Bruford College has opened its own XR Stage. The stage was funded by the college’s £1.9 million (US$2.3 million) capital grant from the Office for Students. The college said the XR level is designed to allow students to explore evolving forms of storytelling while learning new skills to “succeed in the rapidly evolving media and entertainment industry.” The stage is also open to commercial events and the college is currently considering requests.
