Channing Tatum revealed that he has the rights to the classic Patrick Swayz And Demi Moore Supernatural romance movie from the 90s Ghost, and is trying to develop a reinterpretation of it. I can’t say I’m surprised. I’m actually more surprised that someone hasn’t already tried to remake this movie!

It’s been a long time since I last looked Ghost, and now I think I have to revisit it. This is one of those movies that I loved when I was younger! I was fascinated by the story and its supernatural elements. Also, it was an entertaining film filled with great humor. However, I especially liked that crazy movie ending! Sam kills the people involved in his death and they are horribly dragged screaming to Hell by a horde of demons!

The film follows a couple, Sam and Molly, who are madly in love with each other. Sam ends up murdered and his spirit stays behind to solve his murder and warn Molly of impending danger, with the help of a reluctant psychic played by Whoopi Goldberg.

Tatum shared the news in a recent interview with Vanity Fair saying, “We actually have the rights. Yes, we have the rights to Ghost. But we will do something different. I think it needs to change a bit.”

It will be interesting to see what sorts of things end up changing as they develop it. The first movie was so good, though, I’m not sure there can be much improvement, other than the special effects. Regardless, Tatum is the perfect actor to step into the role of Sam.
