‘Sex and the City’ returned in late 2021 with a continuation in the form of a miniseries called ‘And Just Like That…’, in which we met Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her friends (except Samantha, now that Kim Cattrall didn’t want to return) into a new phase of their life in Manhattan. Although initially conceived as a limited event (or so we were told), ‘And Just Like That…’ was a great success with audiences and had a greater social impact than expected, which is why HBO has greenlit a second season, which is currently filming in the Big Apple..
No doubt, The most commented thing of the first season was the shocking surprise that they had prepared for us and that hardly anyone suspected: the death of Mr. Big in the first episode.. Chris Noth’s character died on the series of a heart attack while training on a Peloton bike, shortly before the actor was embroiled in allegations of alleged sexual assault. From there, Carrie and ‘Sex and the City’ had to move on without what was the protagonist’s great love. After the grieving process she went through during the first episode, Carrie enters a new phase in the second, where beware, she will meet another mythical ex: Aidan Shaw.
Just like Noth did, John Corbett returns to the series as the muscular furniture designer who first appeared in Season 3 of the original series and has become one of Carrie’s great loves. Their relationship was also not a bed of roses, but to many people, Aidan was a better candidate for Carrie’s heart than Mr. Big.. And now, “And Just Like That…” offers a second chance to see them reach their happy ending together.

For now we don’t have many details on the plot of the new episodes, but We can already see the first images of Aidan’s return and they are good news for fans of the couple, as in them we can see them walking hand in hand through the streets of New York. Will Aidan be the ultimate one?

After 10 episodes that dominated the conversation and ignited the debate, ‘And Just Like That…’ was renewed in March 2022 for a new series of chapters. The co-creator of the series, Michael Patrick King, announced the renewal at the time: “I’m happy and excited to tell more stories about these bold and vibrant characters played by these incredible and powerful actors. The thing is, we’re all excited. It’s just like that, our sex life is back.”.
