‘The Boys’: Season 4 contains ‘the grossest thing’ its effects supervisor has ever seen

If after its third season you thought ‘The Boys’ couldn’t go any further, think again, because it seems Eric Kripke and Prime Video are preparing another round of thrills for us with the fourth season of their hit superhero series, which is currently immersed in the filming of its new chapters.

‘The Boys’: Season 4 contains ‘the grossest thing’ its effects supervisor has ever seen

At least, this suggests Stephen Fleet, producer and visual effects supervisor, who hasn’t hesitated to take to Twitter to raise the hype (or increase the fear, depending on how you look at it) of fans of the series, ensuring that the new season contains a scene so disgusting it would surpass anything we have seen before.

“I think I just saw the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen working in this industry so far. #TheBoystv”says Fleet in the tweet. Given what we’ve seen so far in the series, that says a lot. Recall that Season 3 raised the bar on explicit violence and sexually explicit content with the much-talked-about superhero orgy of “Herogasm” and the scene in the first episode where an Ant-Man parody superhero enters the penis of his lover. he blasted him from the inside when he returned to his normal size.

For scenes like the ones mentioned, fans of “The Boys” are more than used to that level of violence and depravity from the series and it will be difficult to surprise them, but Fleet’s words certainly increase the expectation of knowing with what follies Kripke and his boys will try to overcome the (apparently) insurmountable. ‘The Boys’ Season 4 has no release date yet.

The spin-off is coming

Before the Prime Video flagship returns with its fourth season, its new spin-off (the first in live action), ‘Gen V’, a new series set in the world based on the comics of Garth Ennis, will arrive on the platform. Darick Robertson who will take us to Godolkin, a university run by Vought International where young superheroes, in the midst of a hormonal revolution, will fight for the best contracts in town. The platform hasn’t set a release date yet, but we know it’s coming this year and we already have a damn first trailer. Also, its writers are already working on a second season, so there is full confidence in the project.
