Smallville And Supernatural both were hugely popular shows on The CW at one point, and it turns out there was actually a pitch made for a crossover between Supernatural and Smallville. I don’t remember ever hearing about it, but it actually seems like it would have been an interesting concept to play with.

These are two very different shows and when I first heard about them, I didn’t see how this crossover could have worked effectively, especially with Jensen Ackles playing a role in both shows. But the concept would be realized in an episode of Supernaturaland it looks like it could have been fun.
In an interview with EW years ago, writer Jackson Stewartwho co-wrote the Supernatural episode “Frontierland,” spoke about the Supernatural-Smallville crossover that never happened, sharing what the episode entailed:
“There were a lot of really cool ideas that some of the writers had. They had an episode where they really wanted to do a curse of Superman that was about every actor who plays Superman ends up getting killed. Then they find out that Smallville’s Tom Welling is next, and they have to save him. I thought it was one of the funniest ideas I’d heard.
Co-creator of Smallville Alfred Gough he also confirmed the news by saying that this would happen around the seventh season of Smallville: “That is true. Eric Kripke, Miles and I had these discussions during the seventh season of Smallville.
This is just one of those “what if?” scenarios that almost happened. Would you have liked to see it?
