river dance Star Michael Flatley is now recovering from surgery at home after being diagnosed with cancer, his team announced Wednesday.
“Dear friends, we have something personal to share, Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with aggressive cancer,” read the Instagram statement. “He underwent surgery and is being cared for by an excellent team of doctors. No further comment is being made at this time. We only ask for your prayers and good wishes. Thank you. 🙏🏻 Team Lord.”
Flatley (64) also had cancer in 2003. A keen viewer noticed a malignant melanoma after seeing it during a performance on MTV.
He was later successfully treated for skin cancer, which Irish independent“It was pure coincidence that it was noticed. I never realized…it could be a scary place.
He wrote about it in his autobiography and said: “Such fear makes you even more aware that you must live every moment while you can.”
