The classics of the 80s Robotic force the toyline inspired an animated project, and The Nacelle Company gave him a direct series order. The Nacelle company has bought the right to the toy line and is in the process of relaunching it. Tom Stern (SpongeBob SquarePants) And Gavin Highnight (Transformers: War for Cybertron trilogy) will write and produce the series and also serve as showrunner, and will be directed by Brian Volk-Weiss.
Volk-Weiss, who is also the CEO and founder of Nacelle Company, shared a statement: “I didn’t think anything would be more surreal than selling thousands of Maxx 89 and Wrecker figures, but bringing an animated series to life requires cake topped of sucker… and yes, we will reveal why Wrecker has red roses!”
The show will debut on multiple streaming platforms simultaneously through Nacelle’s hybrid distribution system which consists of dozens of platforms. The first season will have six twenty-two minute episodes.
Here is the description of the toy line:
It was the twilight of the 89th era of the family domain of VvanderLoc on the planet Vvram, and all over the world one word was at the top of everyone’s mind; crime. Designed by one of the oldest and most respected engineering firms, ROBO FORCE was created, from the ground up, to replace the aging CHU series of R-RAN “Crime Stoppers”. From their self-sealing suction cup feet to their state-of-the-art empathy and priority code system, ROBO FORCE was announced at a giant press conference on the first Tuesday of the new year.
For 48 hours Maxx 89, the Supreme Leader of ROBO FORCE, was the talk of every Vvram citizen, near and far. Then came Thursday. On that dark day a rival engineering firm announced its latest R-RAN CS product; the UTOPIA101 line. Faster, smarter, stronger and cooler than Maxx and his team, ROBO FORCE was immediately relegated to desk and traffic jobs (if not worse). Denied respect and opportunity, ROBO FORCE was challenged from day one – actually day 3 – to step out of the dustbin of history back to where they were meant to be; respected and greeted.
Rekindle your love for these robotic heroes as Maxx 89 and the Wrecker rise to reclaim their place as protectors of a society that needs them more than ever. Returning as part of The Nacelle Company’s signature toy line, these 7.5-inch-tall, fully articulated deluxe action figures are packaged in their own collector-friendly, graphite-inspired window boxes and are sure to transform your childhood memories. Robo Forza’s childhood in all-new, out-of-this-world adventures!
The release of the new 7.5-inch Robo Force action figures, featuring Maxx 89 and the Wrecker, will arrive in the third week of December. The release of the aforementioned Robo Force series is part of Nacelle’s larger plan to reintroduce the Robo Force brand to a wider audience.
