The news came thanks to a Variety service where it is reported that the chain AMC extension made a change to its release schedule in which ‘The Walking Dead’ franchise has been directly affected since, despite it being initially announced that 3 new spin-off series will premiere in 2023now the plans include two.
The Rick and Michonne series starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, it was scheduled to debut on television in October 2023, but now the plans of the television network are different and its debut is scheduled for 2024, although there is currently no estimated month as it was before this update.

However, the Rick and Michonne series isn’t the only series AMC is gearing up to expand ‘The Walking Dead’ universe, as it has been revealed that ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ will end with the season 8 premiere, while Maggie and Negan will reunite years after the end of the parent series in ‘Dead City’, which also changed the date.
While ‘The Walking Dead: The Dead City’ had been planned for April this year, AMC has reported that now the series Maggie and Negan will premiere in June this year, delaying its debut for a few months, while the second spin off will arrive much later than the expected, closely following Daryl Dixon.
This 2023, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Norman Reedus will return to the walker universe and while the first two will do so in June, the third will have to wait until the end of 2023 to present ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’, the spin off series which was scheduled for August and which now has an uncertain release date but which promises to close the year with his exciting story.
