A fun new trailer has been released that takes us back to Rydell High, home of the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies, where we first met Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson. But this time around, we’ll see some new faces and a brand new story unfold, all with music, of course.

Mark Hamill and his Return of the Jedi helix lightsaber reunite in Pop Culture Quest Clip

Grease: The Rise of the Pink Ladies is a musical comedy set four years before the original Fat; In 1954, before rock ‘n’ roll reigned, before the T-Birds were the coolest in school, four jaded outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, unleashing a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

The prequel series stars Marisa Davila like jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells like Olivia, Ari Notartomaso like Cynthia, Tricia Fukuhara like Nancy, Shanel Bailey like Hazelnut, Madison Thompson like Susan, Jonathan Nieves like Rich, Jason Schmidt as a friend, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper like Wally, e Jackie Hoffmann as Ass. Principal McGee.

The series is written and executive produced by the creator Annabel Oakes, who also serves as showrunner. It will feature new original music, written and executive produced by Justin Tranter, a Grammy-nominated songwriter. Jamal Sims, whose work has appeared in When the pace drops, 13 The MusicalAnd RuPaul’s Drag Racewill choreograph the musical numbers of the series. Alethea Jones will direct the first episode and produce.
