The new policy takes effect on Tuesday, January 17th and was in the works long before Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a similar return to work for his studio’s employees on March 1st today.
In addition, we understand that the Friday business day at Lionsgate will be shortened to 1 p.m. throughout the year.
Iger previously said in a memo to Disney employees that he “believes that more face-to-face collaboration benefits our employees’ creativity, culture and careers.”
Lionsgate has an MLK release on Gerard Butler’s action movie Only this friday. It is the first of ten films in a year of events for the studio, including John Wick: Chapter 4, Are You There God? it’s me, Margaret; About my father’s consumables 4and Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Serpents among other titles.
