Marvel Studios has released a thrilling and absolutely insane second trailer for its highly anticipated action-adventure film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania! Many of the recent Marvel projects that have been released have been quite polarizing, but a lot of Marvel fans seem quite excited about this upcoming Ant-Man movie and it looks like it’s actually going to deliver something epic!
This new trailer is packed with new footage that offers more insight into Kang’s story and motivation for trying to ask Ant-Man for help. I enjoyed the Ant-Man movies and I think this one will deliver the goods. This trailer apparently reveals a lot of the story, but I think Marvel has a few tricks up its sleeve.
Speaking of Kang, director Peyton Reed explained that the villain is trapped in the Quantum Realm and wanted Ant-Man to help him escape. Lui continued to discuss the profound impact Kang will have on the MCU: “I think he has a profound impact on the MCU. Jeff Loveness, who wrote [Quantumania], The Kang Dynasty is also writing, so there’s been a lot of discussion about the impact this Kang the Conqueror appearance will have. There are great things in store.”
As for Kang the Conqueror, this version of the character is “very different” from He Who Remains Loki. Reed offered a description of this character saying, “He’s someone who has dominion over time, and he’s a warrior and a strategist.”
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania officially kicks off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and in it “superhero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangelina Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents, Hank Pym (Michele Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michael Pfeiffer), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.
Jonathan Major he’s going to take on Kang’s role, and it’s going to be pretty sinister. Kathryn Newton will also take on the role of Cassie Lang, e Bill Murray even has a role in the movie!
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is once again directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay written by Jeff Loveness. The sequel to the action-comedy superhero will be released on February 17, 2023.
