Netflix’s most successful series, Stranger things, is heading into its fifth and final season with fans eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the story, and its stars move slowly and sadly towards the end of this project, which began when they were just children. The young leads grew up together on the set of this show, so as incredible as it is to have been a part of such a huge show that launched their future careers, it’s sure to be a bittersweet ending for all involved.

In a recent appearance on Today (via CB), Stranger things star Sadie Sink he revealed that “it’s going to be exciting, I’m sure” when asked about the series’ ending. He then went on to talk about his emotions about him filming the final season:

“It’s going to be awful. It’s going to be awful. These guys, all the cast and crew, it’s like — I mean, it’s family. People always say that, but I really mean it. And to think we have to say goodbye to that security and knowing we won’t see each other for another season, it’s scary and sad, but I think it’s exciting to move on to the next chapter.”

Sink was incredible on the series and just delivered an Oscar-worthy performance in the film The whaleso I can’t wait to see what else he does in his career.

Season 5 of Stranger things will consist of eight episodes, and while we don’t know the release date, we expect the show to conclude in 2024.
