Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for the third season of the spy thriller series Slow horses Season 3. The trailer offers a preview of the team’s next dangerous high-risk mission.
Slow horses is a darkly humorous spy drama that follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence operatives who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 affectionately known as Slough House. Gary Oldmann plays Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but hot-tempered leader of the spies, who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes as they often find themselves wandering in the smoke and mirrors of the spy world.
Alongside season 3, we’re also getting a season 4, and this could be the last project we see Gary Oldman in, as he previously teased his retirement. This is a great show, and I’ve seen it appear on many people’s end-of-the-year best-show lists.
In Season 2, “long-buried Cold War secrets emerge that threaten to bring carnage to the streets of London,” reads the synopsis. “When a relationship with Russian villains takes a fateful turn, our hapless heroes must overcome their individual failings and up their spy game in a race to prevent a cataclysmic accident.”
In the upcoming third season, “Jackson Lamb’s (Oldman) disgraced spies work together to foil a rogue agent when one of their own is kidnapped. The fourth season opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, shaking the already shaky foundations of Slough House.
Oldman is joined by a large ensemble cast which includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Olive Cooke, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sofia Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwanand Jonathan Pryce.
The series is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (You see).
