The long awaited Avatars 2 is officially in the books with the December release of Avatar: The Way of Waterand now the director of the franchise James Cameron is looking forward to the next film, which is almost completed and will be released in 2024.

Avatar Movie Facts Revealed
When asked what fans can expect from the third Avatars film, Cameron told French outlet 20 Minutes (translated by John Francis Gillman, via ComingSoon):
“To show different cultures than the ones I’ve already shown. The fire will be represented by the “Ash People”. I want to reveal the Na’vi from another angle because, for the moment, I have only shown their good sides. In the early films there are very negative human examples and very positive Na’vi examples. In Avatars 3we will have the opposite.
Cameron went on to talk about his goals with the franchise and how the story will continue to grow:
“We will also explore new universes by continuing the story of the main characters. I can say that the last parts will be the best. The others were an introduction, a way to set the table before serving the meal. But, of course, everything will depend on how Avatars 2 it will be welcomed, if it finds its audience”.
