The story “pitts unhappy newlywed Lina (Williams) against her frail and damaged mother-in-law, Katherine (Janssen). An affair sets Lina on a journey of secrecy, betrayal and murder, and a plot to seemingly destroy her. But who is the real victim and who can she really trust?
The film is directed by the award winner Nour Wazzi (The last bus) from a script written by Rowan Joffe (28 weeks later, at bedtime), and is also the protagonist Alex Hassel (violent night), Finn Cole (The animal kingdom) and Anna Friel (Monarch).
It’s always nice to see Janssen complete a project and this one looks like it’s going to be cool and interesting for her. Janssen has more recently been seen in similar series Long and slow exhalation and How to get away with murder. Among his other upcoming projects is the dystopian action film The boy kills the world with Bill Skarsgard.
