“You will remove these restrictions and leave this cell with the door open,” he says. It doesn’t work at first, but after a couple of tries she manages to get it. During a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Craig reflected on his time playing a Stormtrooper, and it seemed to be uneasy for him:

“I love Star Wars, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked to be in it. Ben Dixon, who is assistant director on those films and was CEO on [Spectre] well, and I was rehearsing. I asked him ‘Could I have a part in this?’ And he just said let me go ask. The next day, I was in a fucking Stormtrooper suit. I had to wear the thing all day and couldn’t feel my hands by the end of the day. These poor guys have to wear them in the desert, I wouldn’t have done that if I had to go to Tunisia.”

Craig was then asked if we would be revisiting his Stormtrooper character, and was told the character’s name was FN-1824, to which Craig joked, “Yeah, that role was very dear to me. That’s what it was called. the character? I tried to get into the next two but no luck.”

The actor is uncredited in the role, but he was surprised that his role was more substantial than he thought. He previously shared:

“The thing was, I thought, ‘background stormtrooper.’ I mean, I wanted to do that guy who bangs his head in the original one, you know that guy who drops his lightsaber or something… Then I was in a ‘whole fucking scene, I was like, ‘OK!’ And we did the scene and then I thought they’d put me on a loop, they’d put another voice on it, you know? Then I had to spend like three hours with [director] JJ [Abrams] in a looped session how to do all dialogue. Like, ‘Really, do you want me to? Ask someone else to do it!'”

The voices of many of the other Stormtroopers were done by Star wars the battle of the clones and LucasArts alumni. David Collins revealed them in a screenshots of the end credits. There you can see names like a Dee Bradley Baker, Dave Filoni, Tom Kane, Matthew Lanter, Meredith Salengerand more.
