Many of Matt Murdock’s fans on Netflix are waiting to hear what they will do with the character when it arrives on the Disney+ platform. Now, Charlie Cox addresses the issue and reveals new “Daredevil: Born Again” details, such as that the reboot will have less action and focus more on the legal drama Matt Murdock plays out in the courtroom.
In an interview for GQ magazine, Charlie Cox admits it ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ it will be a legal drama, even more than what was seen during the three seasons of Netflix. He also recently stated that the reboot for Disney+ will be much less violent and gory than the original series, which has left many fans wondering about the Man Without Fear’s future in the MCU.
Cox admits it Matt will have a bigger role in court during ‘Daredevil: Born Again’: “I think because of the number of episodes they’ve committed to, there’s going to be a big influence from the legal drama: Matt Murdock, the lawyer on the new series. So I’m very focused on researching that area of this character and his life. It was one of the areas that we hadn’t explored much before. My accent is probably very rusty too.”
It must be said that although the legal drama will be more featured in ‘Reckless’ for Disney+According to Cox, that’s not to say there aren’t moments of action and big fights as seen in the previous three seasons. In fact, one of Netflix’s maneuver coordinators has assured that the most shocking sequence that existed before the cancellation will likely be carried over to the reboot.

Charlie Cox’s future as Daredevil in Marvel
After his first appearance in ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ and his subsequent costume appearance during ‘She-Hulk’, now Daredevil has a great future secured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Charlie Cox spent a few years under the radar after the series was canceled on Netflix, but now he’s about to receive his own new solo series, while other superheroes are expected to cross paths with the devil from Hell’s Kitchen.
However, with the incredible reception all three seasons of ‘Daredevil’ have had on Netflix, fans are now wondering if Disney+ will be able to give the character a good story worthy of the anti-hero. Also, ‘Born Again’ is titled one of the best Matt Murdock comic book stories written by Frank Miller which gives the show some credibility.
Charlie Cox has confirmed he will spend February to December 2023 filming ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, 11 months uninterrupted for the longest UCM production to date. Also, it should be mentioned that there will be 18 episodes in total, which so far have no release date, but will be coming to Disney+ at some point in 2024.
