Greek singer Christina Koletsa has shared an emotional message with her followers on Instagram warning that widespread fear is preventing people from helping others.
The performer posted three short video stories on her personal account to address what she described as a major social issue facing society today. She urged her digital audience to stop living in insecurity and to embrace simple acts of goodwill without hesitation.
Koletsa is a well-known Greek pop vocalist who first gained broad public attention on the music competition show Fame Story in 2006. Throughout her career in the entertainment industry, she has released pop singles and appeared on television reality shows, establishing a prominent public profile and a large social media following.
In her message, Koletsa said she felt an overwhelming need to shout that fear had become the scourge of the present age. She told her followers that society had arrived at a point where individuals were afraid to be good people, often hesitating to perform kind acts because they feared getting hurt or being judged as foolish.
She said that people were living like the dead, trapped inside their own shells because of insecurity and unfounded beliefs. She explained that the idea that being good to others will result in bad consequences is completely false, asking her audience why anyone should ever be afraid to do good.
Everyday Kindness
Koletsa stressed that society was living in a grand delusion that needed to end immediately for the benefit of future generations and children. She stated that the world improves when people show courage in daily life through small gestures, such as helping an elderly man at a traffic light, rather than waiting for a major catastrophe.
She concluded by stating that people should carry out good deeds without feeling remorse. She observed that it was troubling that society had reached a condition where people actually felt guilty after doing something positive for someone else.
