In other words, his films are being talked about. his latest video, The whale is no different in that regard, screening to a six-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival in September. The story of a 600-pound man desperately trying to reconnect with his teenage daughter is another highlight in Aronofsky’s career, which the estate, originally a play by Sam Hunter (who also wrote the screenplay), 10th for years the right to do. had such a hand. Elements finally came together for the A24 release, which launches more widely on Wednesday.
