Grace Stanke She’s the new Miss America! After a distinguished pageant career, the beautiful Wisconsin classical violinist took home the crown at the annual pageant on Thursday, December 15, 2022. She emerged victorious among the five finalists for Miss Georgia. Kelsey Hollis, Miss West Virginia elizabeth lynchMiss Texas bishop of Averie, and Miss New York Taryn Delanie Smith in the 95th edition of the competition, held in Connecticut. Grace played an amazing violin solo and was blown away during the part on the red carpet. In the end, she got the sparkly crown and red roses she needed, sporting a dazzling white gown and, of course, grinning in all the excitement.

Now, as Grace takes on the world as the newest winner of America’s most beloved and well-known scholarship contest, many are curious as to who she is. This is what you should know about the newly crowned Miss America 2023.

He is studying nuclear energy.

You read right. The Wasau, Wisconsin native is currently studying for a nuclear engineering degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. According to his bio on the official Miss Wisconsin page, the savvy beauty has worked in some “world-class research laboratories” and as a nuclear fuel cooperative. “His work and his education have helped her realize the energy crisis that is unfolding on a global scale;” says the biography. “Fossil fuels are becoming scarce, which is driving up prices.”

Grace then realized that renewable energy and zero carbon sources are the future and started her own social impact initiative called “Clean Energy, Cleaner Future”. She hopes to lead the way in helping the country convert to zero-carbon energy, with a focus on nuclear power, of course. At the heart of their cause is the prevention of the climate crisis. With a tight schedule like that, how could the judges not award him the crown?!

Grace is a classical violinist.

According to the northwest, “built confidence” by learning to play the violin. She started playing when she was eight and strengthened her love of music through private lessons, although she admitted to shaking during performances.

As she got older, she knew the only way to beat anxiety was through more opportunities on stage: entering the Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen competitions. She won Miss Wausau Outstanding Teen 2016, Miss Harbor Cities Outstanding Teen 2017 and finally she became Miss Wisconsin 2017 Outstanding Teen.

She then moved on to Miss Madison (2020/2021), Miss Badgerland (2022) and of course Miss Wisconsin 2022. Before taking the final crown, she was awarded the Miss America Talent Scholarship for her classical violin performance , a $2,500 scholarship.

She is tall.

Even on a stage filled with statuesque beauties, Grace stands out. The stunning blonde beauty is 5 foot 11 tall! Being that tall isn’t always easy: Grace said competing helped her gain confidence and poise. “(Competing) has helped me feel comfortable about myself,” she said, per the northwest🇧🇷

Grace says she is an advocate for women in STEM.

According to the northwest, our new Miss America noticed a shortage of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) careers when she started working in nuclear engineering. “I hope I can continue to pave the way for women in the future and help make the proportion of women and men equal on the field,” she said, according to the newspaper.

She also feels that her participation in the Miss America organization will help her be a “representative” of her causes. “If I hadn’t been involved [with Miss America]It probably would have been another engineer just talking to other engineers,” he told the outlet. “I was very excited to spread the word and be a representative between the nuclear industry and the general public.”

She’s stubborn.

In the final round of the competition, the finalists were questioned about their causes. Grace was careful to point out that she has her own opinions of her, but she knows how to present them if she wins the crown. “As Miss America, I represent this organization,” she said shortly before her victory. “If they ask more questions, I can start by saying, ‘This is not the organization’s point of view, this is my personal point of view as Grace Stanke’ and I can go on and on, especially when it comes to things like l nuclear energy and many other burning political issues.
