Jane Fonda has announced that her cancer is now in remission and has been told by doctors that she can finish chemotherapy next week before her 85th birthday.
The Barbarella star shared the happy news with her fans via her website on Thursday, calling it “the best birthday present ever”.
“Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can stop chemo,” she wrote in a lengthy post.
“I feel so blessed, so happy. Thanks to everyone who prayed and sent me good thoughts. I’m sure that contributed to the good news.”
“I am especially happy because although my first 4 chemo treatments were quite easy for me, I was only tired for a few days, but the last chemo session was difficult and lasted 2 weeks, which made it difficult to do much to achieve.”
