Matt and Ross Duffer found inspiration for their hugely popular article strange things of conspiracy theories about the Montauk Project, an alleged US government operation to conduct experiments on children, including mind control and time travel, for the purpose of psychological warfare. The fourth season was released on Netflix this summer, with the first seven episodes on May 27. The season ended with the final two episodes on July 1 in preparation for Stranger Things 5, which will bring the series to a close.

All of the scripts in our series are submitted for this year’s Emmy Awards and were selected by Deadline based on criteria such as critical acclaim, selection from a variety of networks and platforms, and a mix of established and lesser-known shows.
Played in the 80s strange things follows a group of kids from Hawkins, Indiana as they battle supernatural forces and secret government exploits after discovering their hometown lies above a mysterious underworld called the Upside Down. Season 4 begins eight months after the events of the previous season, when several teenagers are murdered and Hawkins High’s Dungeons and Dragons club leader, Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), becomes the prime suspect. When Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) finds out her friends are in danger, she agrees to work with Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) to save her.
Written and directed by the Duffers, The Massacre at Hawkins Lab takes all endeavors to the extreme and begins with Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Eddie and Robin (Maya Hawke) as part of the Upside Down journey. of the group’s early attempts to kill Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). Meanwhile, Eleven has a breakthrough in the lab that reveals more about the origins of the upside down and her relationship with Vecna, which changes the course of the story.
