Sean “Big” Combs will debut at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards May 15 on NBC.
His Emmy appearance also marks the 25th anniversary of his first Billboard Music Awards in 1997 for the album “No Way Out”. Additionally, Combs will executive produce the live show from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
“It will be an example of other awards. “I’ve been putting love and frequency at a high level all the time,” Combs said in a statement. “The Billboard Music Awards really represent the artists and where the music is today, so I’m happy to have some of the best live performances and surprises. Combs has twice won the Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Song (1997) and Top Rap Artist (1997). He scored 37 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart and eventually hit the awards scene in 2017 to honor The Notorious BIG, the late icon’s 45th birthday.
The Billboard Music Awards honor the best artists of the year on the Billboard charts across all genres of music. The show is not only about Mary J. Blige receiving the Icon Award, it also includes Burna Boy, Lato, Megan T. Stallison, Rau Alejandro, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blige himself.
The award will air live on Coast to Beach May 15 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT NBC. It also airs live on Peacock.
