Queen Letizia recycles her plain Zara dress

Don Felipe and Doña Letizia have this morning the Gold Medals for Merit in Fine Arts 2021. The award recognizes the people and entities who have eminently distinguished themselves in the field of artistic creation, providing excellent services or clearly promoting the teaching, development and dissemination of art or preserving the national artistic heritage. 31 cultural personalities and institutions have been selected by the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister of Culture and Sport.

The Queen Letizia has recovered a design that she premiered last September during her official trip to New York. It is a dress by Narciso Rodríguez for Zara in a vibrant orange color that does not go unnoticed, made of a wool blend fabric, wide neckline and sleeveless sleeves, fabric detail with pleats, split hem and side closure with hidden zipper in couture, which it has on the same way combined as in New York. For footwear, a pair of black Prada pumps and an Armani bag she also wore to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. The jewels she has chosen for the occasion are earrings made of a small diamond with an orange stone, matching the color of the dress, and her Karen Hallam ring.

Narciso Rodríguez has created a capsule collection of 25 garments and accessories for Zara, including Doña Letizia’s dress. The price of the design was 139 euros on the company’s website. Marta Ortega wore the same dress for one of her company’s campaigns and managed to sell it out online, as did other pieces in the designer’s collection.
