american idol alum Giordano sparks32, teamed up with the former Destiny’s Child frontman Kelly Rowland41, in the defense phase Chris Brown33, after being booed at the American Music Awards on Nov. 20. Jordan was approached by a tmz extension reporter earlier this week, and couldn’t contain his thoughts (WATCH VIDEO HERE). “You like asking me about Chris, but we love Chris!” the 32-year-old said happily. “No, we love Chris, he should be there.” He also said that people “deserve to be able to grow and learn” and that people “should be able to go about their lives without things bumping into them.” Additionally, Jordin said that “everyone” deserves it, adding “especially him.”

When the reporter asked the “Tattoo” singer if people “should move on” from his past (apparently referring to his troubled past with Rihanna), said they should “focus” on the music. “Honestly, I don’t think this should be a conversation anymore,” Jordin replied. “It’s about his talent, they shouldn’t have canceled the show, that’s how I feel about it.”

The “No Guidance” singer was scheduled to perform at the AMAs on Sunday, but the show cut short his performance. Chris took to Instagram to share a video of what his performance would be like, captioning it, “REALLY?” On awards night, the 33-year-old actor won Favorite R&B Male Artist, and Kelly accepted the award on his behalf. Accepting the award, the audience began to boo, with the 41-year-old actress making it clear that she wasn’t going to accept it.

“Chris Brown isn’t here tonight, so I’m accepting the award on his behalf,” Kelly began. “Sorry, relax. But I want to thank Chris for making great R&B music and I want to thank him for being an amazing artist. I’ll take this award and bring it to you. I love you, congratulations.” The next day, tmz extension he approached the singer outside her car and asked her to comment on supporting Chris. “I think the grace is very real,” she told the agency. “And we all need a dose of that. And before we point fingers at anyone, we need to realize how grateful we are for every moment we have. Even our things that we have. I think it’s important to remember that you are human. We are human beings.”

The reporter then asked Kelly a similar question to the one he posed to Jordin, which is whether the Grammy winner should be “pardoned.” Kelly answered with a surprising yes. “We all need to be forgiven for whatever we are doing. Whatever we are thinking. We all fail in some way. And grace is real. We are human. And everyone deserves a pardon,” she concluded. Chris dated Rihanna in 2008, but things changed in 2009 when he was “charged with domestic violence.” NBC News, on the “Umbrella” singer.
