Jamie was married to Eternal bandmate Louise for 19 years before they split, and his football manager dad Harry recently admitted it was “difficult” for his family when the couple split.

Harry said neither his son nor daughter-in-law were “used” to the idea of a divorce, but he and his wife Sandra vowed they would “never interfere”.

Speaking to The Times, he added that despite the challenges of Jamie’s divorce, everyone managed to maintain good relations and the footballer has now moved on with his new wife, Frida Andersson.

In a joint interview with his wife Sandra, Harry reflected on Jamie’s 2017 divorce from Louise after 19 years of marriage.

He said: “It was difficult when Jamie and Louise divorced because both our parents were married until they died so we weren’t used to it.

“But we never interfered and we all managed to remain friends. Everyone seems happy now.”
