The John Wick franchise will soon be supplemented with a spin-off called Ballerina. And Keanu Reeves will again embody the image of the main character. According to Collider, the actor is already at work. The shooting started in Prague. Reeves’ colleague in the film was Ana de Armas.
This year, the actor turned 58 years old. Many fans are amazed at how he manages to act in action movies. However, film critic Oksana Agapova believes that Reeves not only organically looks in such roles, but also perfectly copes with his duties, and age does not bother him at all.
“I don’t see any signs of unsuitability. On the contrary, Keanu Reeves, as always, is very melancholy, but at the same time bright and unexpected in some manifestations, including physical ones, which are necessary for such films. Let’s take a look at Tom Cruise – what is Mission Impossible without him? And how smart he was in Top Gun. Age is not a barrier here. This story is about heroes who continue to build a worldview. These are images of strong men leading and supporting us,” says Oksana Agapova.
The film critic also added that the spin-off will attract new viewers to the series of films. And the public will respond specifically to Keanu Reeves.
“I love it, and it’s a good bait for people who love the John Wick franchise and know it from Keanu Reeves. Plus the beautiful Ana de Armas, who was also a Bond girl, and recently played a lovely Marilyn Monroe,” she emphasized in an interview with PopCornNews.
