“We are proud to announce that our beloved Gilbert Gottfried has passed away after a long illness,” the statement said. Besides being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend, and father to his two young children.
“While today is a sad day for all of us, please keep smiling in Gilbert’s honor as much as you can.”
