“Sam Levinson and I had a very deep conversation last week,” Coleman said. “Here he talks about all the story arcs of the characters and what he has to do to expand them, sometimes looking at reality. He’s an organism and he wants me to keep changing him in a lot of ways, and I think he’s going to really make some real changes with Season 3. There really is a consummate artist and he wants to make sure he is telling really compelling stories. And just because we had some success earlier this season, he said, ‘We don’t rely on that. go on. I will delve into these characters. I will really remove the layers of him and only reach the human heart ”.
Domingo also talked about how he felt about portraying the Afro-Latin actors in his victory. Speaking of the paternal side of the family, he said: “I’m from Belize, Guatemala and all of Central America and I’m so proud. I’m sure they are screaming for me in the streets, they are very proud to be a part of it and they represent not only the Afro-Latins, but the humble people of West Philly. You know, working class dads, working class stepfathers and moms, so I think I represent a lot of them, so it’s really cool. “
Speaking of his experience working closely with Zendaya over the past two seasons, he revealed a true bond that began long before Zendaya met him.

“Zendaya and I have such an interesting history because I met her when she was about five or six when I was at the California Shakespeare Theater,” she said. “One day she said to me, ‘Do you know my mother ran Shakespeare’s box office in California?’ I loved this actor who came in white on a motorcycle. This was myself. We have such a connection that is very deep and complex. We seem to have known each other for many, many, many years and many lifetimes. “
