Charlene’s blow to Prince Albert’s escape to Spain

Charlene’s blow to Prince Albert’s escape to Spain

This Tuesday morning around 11 am, Prince Albert of Monaco set foot in our country again after traveling directly from the Principality to Villafría Airport in Burgos. The reason for this move was none other than his desire to visit the famous Atapuerca sites on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of its creation. The Monegasque prince has decided to make this private outing alone, without the company of Charlene and her children, Jacques and Gabriella. The Princess of Monaco has chosen to remain in the Principality to continue with the obligations related to her official agenda this week, which have prompted her to visit a nursing home in Monaco.

Prince Albert of Monaco has been able to learn the history of human evolution first hand thanks to a visit led by two authentic masters. And that’s it, archaeologists Juan Luis Arsuaga and Eudaldo Carbonell, co-directors of the Atapuerca project and vice presidents of the Foundation; They were responsible for receiving the Monegasque sovereign at the airport, later accompanying him on the tour of the sites of El Portalón de Cueva Mayor. There he was able to observe in detail the Sculpture Gallery and the Gallery of Flint; to go later to the famous Sima del Elefante, where that same year the oldest face yet found in all of Western Europe appeared.

Prince Albert of Monaco concluded his tour of the sites with a visit to the Ghost Cave. During this period he has shown great interest in this matter, exchanged opinions and resolved doubts together with Arsuaga and Carbonell. A visit for which the Monegasque monarch has chosen an extremely comfortable style: a camel-coloured shirt with long sleeves, combined with long bottle green trousers and mountain boots that suit the occasion. After touring the Atapuerca sites, Alberto de Mónaco also visited the Museum of Human Evolution and the National Center for Research on Human Evolution in Burgos; not without first signing the Atapuerca Foundation’s book of honor.

The Monegasque monarch could see there the space dedicated to the ancestor Homo species, as well as that of the most emblematic fossils of the Sima de los Huesos. Alberto de Mónaco carefully and curiously observed Elvis’ skull nº5 or pelvis, in addition to Miguelón’s cervical vertebrae and two premolars. The prince noted that these sites make it possible to “reconstruct the whole history of the people of Europe” to learn “what it was like in prehistoric times”, and emphasized the architectural grandeur of the evolution complex; admitting that he would like to return to his family in the future.

And it is that Prince Albert of Monaco traveled alone to Atapuerca; while Princess Charlene has decided to stay in the famous Principality to continue her official agenda there. At the same time as the Monegasque monarch was enjoying his archaeological day in Burgos, the South African fulfilled his official commitment on Tuesday by visiting a famous local nursing home: A Qietüdine. The Monegasque consort has always been characterized by a great commitment to solidarity goals; and after his long absence due to illness he has shown it again. After recovering from his serious ear, nose and throat infection and getting his official calendar back; Princess Charlene visited a number of patients at Princess Grace Hospital (where she gave birth to her children) and also attended the popular Red Cross Gala.

Charlene de Monaco’s visit to this famous retirement home in the Principality has provided us with some endearing images shared on the official Instagram profile of the Monegasque royal house. In it you see a close and attentive Charlene, who is shown with total naturalness as she exchanges opinions and caresses with the elderly in the middle. For this very special engagement, Princess Charlene decided to opt for a discreet beauty look starring a midi model with a straight cut in a yellow shade. A piece with wide straps, a round neckline and a loose skirt inspired by the sixties, which she decided to combine with a pearl necklace and earrings. In addition, Charlene used the mask again when dealing with people who belong to a risk group; a detail that the big smile that the Monegasque princess showed all day long could not hide.
