Love Island contestants David and Jacques already knew each other before starring together in the 2022 series, it seems, as old messages between the two come to light.
Love Island bombs Davide Sanclimenti and Jacques O’Neill already knew each other before appearing on the ITV2 show.
Some old messages between the two were revealed after eagle-eyed fans did some research on their social media accounts.
A conversation on Instagram between the two competitors has made the rounds of social media, leaving fans very confused.
While the posts don’t prove the two boys are good friends, it definitely shows they knew each other before they entered the village, at least in the online world.
Rugby player Jacques, who played for the Castleford Tigers before the show, commented on a photo of the Italian businessman in January 2021.
It was 73 weeks before the last series started.
Davide shared a snapshot of his training with a friend on his Instagram and Jacques commented below.
He joked: “You have to start training.”
Davide replied: “More gymnasium and fewer parties I guess.”
To which Jacques cheekily joked: “More gym, keep the same number of parties.”
As fans discovered online interaction, speculation began to skyrocket, with “WAIT NOW” written.
Another said: “They know each other.”
While a third wrote: “So Jacques and Davide will say that they both know each other before entering the show?”
It comes after former Love Island star Kem Cetinay talked about “awkward seminars” on the Love Island: Morning After podcast.
The host starred in the show’s third series and is now hosting the official Love Island podcast.
In the podcast on Saturday (June 18), Kem spoke with Sian Welby and Lewys Ball about last night’s antics.
During Friday’s challenge, the girls dressed up in mermaid bikinis and threw a hot show for the boys.
However, unfortunately for Dami, the guys did point out that she had a “semi” after her partner Amber’s sexy dance moves.
Speaking of the incident, Kem said: “It’s pretty embarrassing when you understand it and there are some people in the room, but when the whole world sees it.”
“It’s a little more embarrassing, but you have to deal with it, right? You have to laugh and keep moving ”.
