Corrie’s fans realize where they recognize the new bartender as they predict Cathy’s exit

Coronation Street fans have anticipated a big turnaround when a new character steps onto the cobblestones.

Cocktail bartender Jim Fizz walked into Rovers Return on Monday after being hired by owner Jenny Connor to give a masterclass.

Jenny and maid Daisy Midgeley were joined by neighboring Evelyn Plummer and Cathy Matthews.

Cathy let it out after running away from Kabin. She told her friends of hers about her partner Brian Packham’s non-romantic proposal and how she tried once again to get her to move to Cornwall.

Cathy also revealed that she made a shocking discovery, which some fans believe could lead to her exit from the ITV soap opera.

He recently found letters sent between Brian and his ex Julie Carp.

Cathy said, “I found these letters, I wrote them to Julie Carp.

“That was when all this troll stuff was going on. Answer me, ok, why are you writing to her? Obviously he missed her, in fact, he said so.

Cathy also said Julie asked Brian if she ever thought about getting back together. When she was asked what she had said in response, she replied Cathy: “I don’t know, this is the last letter I found.”

Neighbors didn’t have much time to chat when Jim Fizz came to teach.

Speaking to Daisy, he said, “You were hot on the phone, I thought you were red. I love red hair and I got myself a present today, right?

“I’m Jim Fizz, extraordinary mixologist.”

Jim served the women a steady stream of cocktails, leaving Cathy very tall.

Later, Evelyn walked into the pub garden and was surprised to find Cathy and Jim sharing a drunken kiss, while Brian searched for his partner.

Some fans wondered where they’d seen the bartender before.

Commenting on Facebook, Eileen Booth said, “I’m sure I know the bartender tonight. He looks familiar”, to which Cheryl Doyle replied: “Tonight it bothers my husband, I’ve been to Google but nothing.”.

Kate Harris later said: “He is a comedian / actor named Smug Roberts. He has been in many shows, including Mrs Brown’s Boys as a bar owner, Mr. Foley.

Other fans have taken to Twitter to predict an unexpected turnaround as it has already been confirmed that Cathy will leave the soap opera after actress Melanie Hill leaves.

One person said: “#Corrie So Cathy get off the streets with this guy!”

Another wrote: “Oh no Cathy doesn’t come with him, does she? @Itvcorrie #Corrie.”

One fan tweeted: “Is Cathy going with this #Corrie guy?”
