The series “Alien: Earth” already in the beginning caused many questions among fans of the franchise – mainly about how he will fit into the complex chronology of “Stranger”.
The makers of the series have already revealed the most important thing: the events of the new project unfold in 2120, that is, two years before the same flight of the Nostromo ship of the original film Ridley Scott.
New reference point for Xenomorphen
Unlike earlier films, the action of “Alien: Earth” was first transferred to the earth. This is a serious innovation for the entire universe, because the most important threat of Xenomorphen always existed somewhere, somewhere in foreign planets, stations and ships. Now the danger becomes as close as possible: companies try to control new technologies and attempts to subject something that turns out to be alien traditionally due to a disaster.
Place in chronology: between the “covenant” and the original

If you look at the timeline, the new series is strictly between the events of “Alien: Testament” (2104) and the first part of the “Stranger” (2122). “Prometheus”, “Testament”, “Earth”, and then – classic and “strangers”. At the same time, the “Alien: Earth” is deliberately far away from the complex mythology of the latest prequels: the authors chose a course on an independent history with minimal references to Prometheus and the will.
Timesline Universe “Stranger”:
- 2093 – The events in the film “Prometheus”
- 2104 – The film “Alien: Testament”
- 2120 – The series “Alien: Earth”
- 2122 – The original movie “Alien”
- 2179 – “Aliens”
- 2180 – “Alien 3”
- 2379 – “Alien: Resurrection”
In the “Alien: Earth” series, the makers trust a gloomy atmosphere, serious retro -futurism and constant tension, known to the fans of the first part. In the center is the confrontation of companies, people and the first xenomorphs on earth. A separate plus is simplicity: the series is conceived to be understandable even for beginners, so if you have not watched any film about strangers, the “Earth” is still quite a bit cables.
