We are generally silent about Christian Baile.

In 2012, Christopher Nolan released the “Dark Knight: The Renaissance of the Legend”. Tom Hardy then played Bane – The enemy of Batman, who came in forever the history of superhero films. For this role, the actor had to change himself above recognition, and now, in more than ten years, he admits: the body still reminds us of that test.

How Hardy Bane became

To look more massive than Christian Baile, Tom Hardy went to serious sacrifices. He was busy with exhaustion, he scored about 14 kilograms for a few months, and especially – ate everything in a row to arrive.

The actor himself remembers a joke: “I just leaned on pizza and the camera from below – that is the whole secret.”

Of course it was not without film tricks. Hardy turned on several pairs of trousers to hide thin legs, and the light and corners made his shoulders and hands visually enormous. As a result, the audience saw a frightening giant, although in reality he was simply “bald and somewhat busy”, as the actor himself joked.

The price of reincarnation

Such a “diet” and the hectic rhythm of training costs hardy. Constant overeating, overloading heart, fatigue – all this has become a well -known part of his daily life while filming.

“The most important thing was to look as enormous as possible and not to feel good,” he said in an interview.

After the photo was completed, the actor had to drop the weight again for the next roles and the body remembered such a swing. Today Hardy admits:

“Over the years I have not paralyzed myself, but the body has become much more painful. The joints they probably shouldn’t.”

There were only 33 on the set of Hardy’s “Dark Knight”, and now that he will celebrate the 48th birthday closer to fifty (on September 15 from Hardy), he feels the consequences much stronger. And yet the actor is not sorry. He admits that he is missing at that time and is ready to take risks again for the role if the project is.
