“Dexter: Resurrection” has become one of the most important prime ministers of this year – and, based on the last rumors, this is just the beginning.
The new season returned the Cult maniac Dester Morgan (Michael S. Hall) and introduced the audience to the new charismatic character performed by the spirit of Turman. Now the insiders claim that the series has already received an extension for two seasons in one go.
Charlie: spectacular addition to the universe “Dexter”
From the first minutes of the first episode, the public met Charlie – a dangerous, cold and self -assured right hand of the mysterious Leon Proter (Peter Dinklage). Thurman appears in the frame under the famous red right hand “Nika Cave: the camera looks at him for a long time from the back and the moment of removing the mask coincides with the gong’s blow. This technique, according to the show grant Clyid Fillips, was invented by the actress himself.
“We could show her face at any time, but we only did it at the end of the scene. It turned out to be a powerful moment – a perfectly mounted, perfectly removed by Markos with a throat and perfectly played by Uma,” Phillips noticed.
Charlie immediately showed that not just a decorative figure. Already in the second episode she eliminates the serial killer who acts in the suburbs – and makes his own weapon, a host bat.
Why extension is an almost solved problem

According to Insider Daniel Richtman, Dexter: Resurrection immediately received an extension for the second and third seasons. In the industry this is a rarity: Studios usually wait at the end of the season before they give the next one to the following. But here, Paramount and Showtime seem to want to consolidate success and save the most important cast.
Showranner Scott Reynolds said earlier that the plot has already been painted for three seasons and was represented by Michael S. Hall. At the same time, the final does not close the door to continue – it all depends on the wishes of the team.
The success of the “Resurrection” is reinforced by the growth of interest in the franchise as a whole: the prequel “Dexter: Original Sin” extended for the second season in April 2025, and other spin-offs are under development.
The output schedule of the remaining series:
- Series 7 “course correction” – 15 August
- Series 8 “The Kill Room where it happens” – August 22
- Series 9 “touched by an angel” – August 29
- Series 10 “and Justice for All …” – 5 September
