Bad news for fans of one of the best youth dramas in recent years.
The “External Shallows” series will end in the fifth season – the news was confirmed by both the makers and Netflix. At the same time there is no sudden cancellation. The project was not closed, but brought to the final exactly as it was originally conceived.
The authors of the beginning had planned a story of five years – and they were who succeeded in implementing it. The screenwriters themselves have made the decision to complete the series: the brothers Josh and Jonas Payt and Shannon Burk.
“We are very happy to go with our heroes on the last trip. Returning to photographing the last season is joyful and a bit sad. We can’t wait to show that we have prepared ourselves. It will be a real storm of events.”
