The new anime “Summer When Hikar Dief” was a hit on nonflick: he was already called “Masterpiece”

Against the background of fatigue of endless and the same type of fantasy series Netflix, he suddenly gave a strong and atmospheric horror and the audience immediately appreciated this.

The first series of the Anime “Summer When Hikar Dief” was laid on the platform on July 5 and within a few hours the show was in the center of discussions in social networks. Spectators call it anime “masterpiece”, “spectacle is not for everyone”, “the best start of the season” and in other loud words – but is extreme without irony.

The project is based on the manga The Summer Hikaru Died Author Mokumokurhen. The plot unfolds in a Japanese village, where one of the school children – Hikaru – disappears in the mountains for two weeks and then returns … not entirely on its own. His best friend Yoshiki suspects that something was wrong, especially when strange entities that are clearly attracted by the hikar begin to appear in the district. All this is not only a horror in the spirit of John Carpenter, but also a very personal story about sadness, wrong and an attempt to accept the loss.

The first season includes 12 episodes.

The reaction of the public in social networks was immediately:

“This is a masterpiece, sound, direction, background animation, signs, atmosphere – everything works. I am already addicted,” wrote user X Under the nickname @aleczandxr.

Others agree with him:

“Damn it, it was incredible. I really dragged myself to this terrible atmosphere, especially in the last scene. You sympathize with Yoshiki – he seems to try to convince himself that everything is fine,” added @Awayonmarsss00.

New episodes will be released on Tuesday. The next series is already July 15. If Netflix does not turn the project around, as it happened earlier, Hikaru has every chance to become one of the most important anime horror of the year.
