Jon Kay called the weather “boring” in the latest episode of BBC Breakfast, and Carol Kirkwood joked that she thought her co-star was talking about her personally.
BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood responded after thinking her co-star Jon Kay called her “boring” live.
The 60-year-old weather presenter returned to our screens on Wednesday morning (June 8) to bring the nation’s latest forecast.
However, things got a little awkward between Carol and her co-star Jon Kay when she unveiled her newsletter.
He said, “However, if you want to get bored, time might provide it.”
Jon’s co-star Sally Nugent, visibly shocked, replied, “So I thought you were talking about Carol for a minute.”
“Of course, I’m not talking about Carol,” he replied, before adding, “Carol, she is the sunshine of our lives.”

Sally added: “I wouldn’t, Kirky.”
Appearing to the camera, a laughing Carol replied, “I was gutted in there for a few minutes or even seconds” before presenting the latest weather reports.
It comes just days after Carol presented the weather report live from Buckingham Palace.
The reality star joked that royal security guards would “escort” her from the Queen’s iconic palace at all times during the show.

He had just finished his prediction of the palace’s idyllic gardens, where he stood above a giant water feature to tell onlookers what conditions to expect that day.
TV host Sally said it was her “favorite morning weather forecast” before co-host Jon joked that Her Majesty could watch Carol from her window.

Jon said, “I imagine the queen looking out the window and saying ‘what’s Carol Kirkwood doing in my garden?
The time star laughed before replying: “And I’ll be escorted at any moment.”
Jon commented, “I thought security was after you before,” to which Carl joked, “I’m actually behind the camera” before saying, “Hi!”
