The fourth installment in the Bad Boys franchise, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, has unexpectedly become one of the highest-grossing films of 2024. This proved once again that Smith’s career was on the rise.
An action film with a budget of 100 million dollars collected at the worldwide box office 403 million — fans of the saga about two unlucky cops are sure that the fifth part of the film is just around the corner.
American film critics rated the popular action film as average 65% “freshness”, but the crowd was absolutely thrilled with the return of Smith and Lawrence. Rotten Tomatoes users give Bad Boys Until the End a rare rating 97%.
The film was released in theaters on May 30, but producers are only now preparing to release it digitally. Recently, Netflix representatives officially confirmed that “Bad Boys to the End” will hit the streaming service on October 8.
Thanks to the success of the fourth installment of Bad Boys, Will Smith has officially returned to the ranks of leading Hollywood actors. After the scandal at the Oscars, when Will Smith punched comedian Chris Rock in front of a million viewers, many have already managed to “bury” Smith’s career. No word yet on plans for production of the fifth installment of ‘Bad Boys,’ but Will Smith has already started production on the sequel to one of his most popular films, ‘I Am Legend.’
