How many have you seen already?
It’s been a good year for fans of quality television. Not only do we now have a “new Game of Thrones,” but fans of superhero stories and even video game fans are happy too.
No matter which of these categories you fall into, you’re sure to find something to watch from the best TV shows of 2024. We’ve rounded up 10 projects that have earned the love of critics and viewers alike — if you haven’t watched them yet, you’ve missed out on true masterpieces. Keep this selection for yourself — and you won’t have to turn on “Friends” or “The Simpsons” in the background for the hundredth time.
One of the best projects of this year was undoubtedly the Fallout series – and this is both unexpected and predictable. Unexpected – because this is an adaptation of an already cult game, which leaked very easily. Predictable – because the adaptation of “The Last of Us” apparently set a new trend in film adaptations of games, and now everyone wants to conform.
In any case, ‘Fallout’ captivated both fans of the universe and people who hadn’t even heard of the original game before the series. This is exactly what we’re looking at.
Well, by “new Game of Thrones” we (or rather, many critics who think so) of course mean “Shogun,” which won 18 awards at the Emmy ceremony and was nominated in 25 categories. The story about the fate of an English navigator in Japan in the early 17th century has already broken the record for the most Emmys in a single year.
