What to watch while you wait for new episodes of season 4.

On September 4, Apple TV+ launched the fourth season of Slow Horses, one of the highest-rated spy series of our time. The plot revolves around a secret branch of British Intelligence, where criminal spies are sent, and the branch is headed by the tyrannical boss Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman).

The series has an 8.2 out of 10 on IMDb and a 98% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s no surprise that the series has already been renewed for a fifth season, although the fourth is not yet ready. If you don’t know what to entertain yourself with while waiting for the new episodes to be released, we have collected 10 similar series for you – none of them are worse than Slow Horses.

It is quite difficult to recreate the atmosphere and humor (although rather satirical) of “Slow Horses”, or, as fans affectionately call it, “Horses”. The series remains both clever and funny, maintaining the spy level of passion and does not fall into boredom. Each season has only 6 episodes, so the viewer has no time to get tired, because the series has no time to be drawn out.

If you want something similar in terms of density, pace and atmosphere, miniseries in the vein of “The Night Manager” or “The Little Drummer Girl” are perfect, as both only have one season of six episodes.

And if you prefer something a little more developed, on a grander scale, check out the BBC’s five-season Luther or the six-season The Americans . And for those who want to add a bit of humor to political and espionage games, Killing Eve is definitely worth a watch.
