Hailey Bieber Poses Nude for Brazil-Themed Cover Shoot

American model Hailey Bieber has posed nude in a Brazil-inspired photo shoot celebrating her South American heritage for the cover of ICE Magazine.

The 29-year-old features on the front cover of the publication's first international edition. In the photographs, she appears in a beach environment, posing without clothing while drinking a can of guarana, a traditional Brazilian soft drink.

Guarana soda is a sweet carbonated beverage flavoured with extracts from the guarana plant native to the Amazon basin, and it is widely consumed as a national drink in Brazil.

Bieber shared the images on her personal Instagram account, setting the post to the song Desafinado by João Gilberto and Stan Getz.

Desafinado is a foundational bossa nova track composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Newton Mendonça in the late 1950s. The acclaimed recording by guitarist Gilberto and jazz saxophonist Getz helped introduce Brazilian music to a global audience during the early 1960s.

Brazilian family roots

The model holds direct ties to the country through her mother, 58-year-old Kennya Deodato Baldwin. Bieber speaks Portuguese and frequently shares moments on social media where she embraces her Latin culture.

Her mother is married to American actor Stephen Baldwin, and her maternal grandfather is Eumir Deodato, a celebrated Brazilian musician and Grammy award winner who arranged and produced records for numerous international artists.

At the end of June, Bieber shared that her two-year-old son Jack, from her relationship with singer Justin Bieber, tasted brigadeiro for the first time as part of an effort to celebrate her heritage.

The toddler has also tried traditional pão de queijo. Brigadeiro is a classic Brazilian chocolate confectionery made from condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter, rolled into balls and coated in chocolate sprinkles. Pão de queijo is a popular baked cheese bread roll made from manioc flour that is eaten throughout the country.
