On September 5, Netflix released the detective miniseries The Perfect Match, which quickly became one of the fall’s first big hits.

This crime drama revolves around the wealthy Winbury family, who celebrate their wedding in a luxurious mansion on the Nantucket harbor. The atmosphere of the holiday is unexpectedly spoiled by the corpse of the bridesmaid, and every family member had motives for her murder.

The project stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, Jack Reynor, Isabelle Adjani and Omar Epps. The star-studded mystery has already captivated Netflix subscribers for tens of millions of minutes, and fans are already wondering if The Perfect Match will get a second season.

Yes, the series finale provided a perfect ending to all the detective storylines, but fans are still eager to meet the Winbury family.

Luckily for them, showrunner Jenna Lamia didn’t deny the possibility of a second season.

“If all the elements come together and everyone is excited and the idea is inspiring enough to get the same group of talented people back together, I think it can happen. I would never say it’s impossible,” – Lamia noted.

However, the release of the second season may be hampered by the lukewarm response from critics and viewers. Film experts rated the quality of “The Perfect Couple” as fair 60% “freshness,” and Rotten Tomatoes users weren’t much kinder. Their verdict – 69%.

In Russia, the series did not generate much enthusiasm. It was watched by less than three thousand Kinopoisk users, who gave it an average rating of 6.8 points.

Most likely, fans will have to get used to the idea that “The Perfect Match” will remain a miniseries.
