Sometimes you just have to stop in time.
Some shows get lucky, and with each new season the story blossoms and the characters develop until it all comes to a perfect ending. This is what happened with ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’; “Game of Thrones” was a little less fortunate.
It also happens differently. The story starts off great, with fans falling in love with the universe and its characters… only to be bitterly disappointed with each new chapter. Today we’ve collected 10 such unfortunate series: in addition to ‘Supernatural’, your other favorites may also appear in them.

What went wrong with Supernatural ? Ultimately, everything was (we could only say) fine in the beginning: It was a revolutionary horror procedural for The CW, where every new episode was a holiday. How did such a cult project morph into a weird biblical drama where no one actually dies, meaning nothing matters?
Many fans believe this is because Eric Kripke, the man who started it all, left the project after season five. Kripke originally planned Supernatural to be a five-season story, and much of the fandom still believes the show should have ended at chapter five.
As a result, the series spanned 15 seasons – obviously also due to its incredible popularity and ratings. Apparently, there were many more fans who weren’t ready to say goodbye to their beloved universe than those who were completely disillusioned with ‘Supernatural’ after the fifth season. The series ended in 2020, but there have already been talks about reviving it in some form.
