Sounds like a sequel to There Will Be Blood.
November is shaping up to be a special month for Taylor Sheridan’s TV universe.
In addition to the return to the screens of “Yellowstone”, the killer is preparing for the premiere – “Landowner”.
The series, starring Billy Bobby Thornton, is a modern tale of the quest for fortune in the oil rig world of booming West Texas.
The project is based on Christian Wallace’s 11-part documentary podcast Boomtown, which won a 2021 Webby Award.
The plot revolves around Tommy Norris, whose job is to ensure the safety of the areas and find an approach to people, while local criminals and crazy billionaires do everything they can to complicate his work.
Paramount Plus unveiled the official trailer, which revealed several interesting details.
In addition to the Oscar winner, the cast includes Jon Hamm, Demi Moore, Michelle Randolph, James Jordan and Jacob Lofland.
The director’s position was filled by Michael Friedman, known for the projects ‘The King of Tulsa’, ‘The Mayor of Kingstown’ and ‘1923’.
The audience’s reaction to the first shots can only be described in one word: delight. Users were very happy to hear that Thornton and Moore would appear on the same screen:
‘Two bright flashes from our shared past.’
One of the commentators even got the chance to work on set. This is how she described her impressions:
“I was an extra and I loved everything! The crew was very friendly. I can’t wait for the premiere.”
And it’s almost here, as the first two episodes are scheduled to be released on November 17th. The remaining eight episodes will be released weekly.
