“Twilight” from Edward’s perspective: Netflix has ordered the entire first season of the animated series

But recently it was announced that Netflix has decided to go in a completely different direction. The new Twilight series will be animated, and it will also not be possible to speak of a remake.

Netflix executives have already ordered the first season of the animated Twilight series, but the upcoming series will be based on Stephenie Meyer’s new book, Midnight Sun, which the author released in 2020.

The main character of this novel is Edward Cullen himself, and the entire story is told from his perspective. Yes, readers could finally find out how the vampire felt when he first saw Bella, and why he decided to abandon her in the second part of the original book.

Fans are incredibly happy that Netflix decided to adapt the new book with Edward as the main character, instead of making a pointless remake of the original films.

Of course, not everyone was happy that Midnight Sun was going to be a cartoon, but there’s a reason for that. It’s impossible to replace Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart with other actors, because they’re the ones fans associate with Edward and Bella.

Making Twilight into a cartoon is the safest option, because the characters can resemble the original actors as closely as possible.

Other details about the Netflix series are being kept under wraps, though analysts are already predicting Midnight Sun won’t premiere until 2026.
